Genbu Seishis
The Genbu Seishi are 7 (star, or 'celestial') warriors named after the seven constellations of the northern sky. Altogether, they are ruled by the God Genbu. Each Seishi has a different symbol on his or her body.
Each of the Genbu Seishi have one of these symbols on their body. In order they are (from the left to right - chinese/japanese counterpart-"meaning" (Seishi Name): To - "Laddle" (Hikitsu), Xu - "Void" (Tomite), Nu - "Woman" (Uruki), Shi - "Piece/Shelter" (Hatsui), Bi - "Barrier" (Namame), "Cow" (Inami), "Harm" (Urumiya).

Hikitsu

He is a member of the Kan clan which lived together with Tomite's Han clan but then they moved south to the change in weather. Hikitsu or Chen Emtato stayed behind. He has a younger sister called Aira/Aila. His symbol is on his right eye (therefore the bandage) and the Chinese character for laddle or dipper. He and Tomite are confined to Mt. Koko for 200 years to protect the shinzahou. Died trying to save Tomite. He was born on Febuary 14 and his star pattern is Aquarius.
Hikitsu is mostly a magic user, and his mastery over water and of the ice magic that is native to those of the Genbu Seven is fairly impressive. Hikitsu's main form of attack is to throw ice spears and energy blasts in the form of snakes which strike the enemy. He can also encase a person in ice. He has a second ability is what he calls "Shikyokan". It let's him see into another person's mind and let's others participate in the memories of that person if they touch him/her.
Tomite

Tan Chamuka, also known as Tomite, is one of the seven Seishi of Genbu and has power over ice. he lives with his mother Baarute in a small village in Hokkan till he finds Takiko. He is a member of the Han clan. He saw his father killed, and so his mother means a lot to him. Because his family is poor, he is a bounty hunter in search of Rimudo until he joins Takiko in her search for the Seishi. He is a good friend of Hikitsu and tends to fight with Uruki. He tries his best to hide that he is a Seishi. After he dies saving a child he remaines as a spirit to guard the shinzahou with Hikitsu who is his brother by pact. He was born on March 19. His symbol is on the left side of his back and his star pattern is Sagittarius.
Using a bow and arrows, Tomite is able to shoot arrows of ice at his foes. Because he is essentially a ranged fighter, Tomite is not very effective at close range. However, his ability to restrain enemies in barriers and shields of ice helps alleviate this somewhat. The ice shields also help in defensive purposes as well.
Uruki

Uruki or Roun Rimudo is one of the seven Seishi of Genbu. His Seishi symbol is the Chinese character for woman. When it is visible he turns into a woman. He is only able to use his special power in his female form. The first Seishi that Takiko meets. A man known for killing a thousand people, he joins the Kutou army to hide from the people of Hokkan, and threatens to kill Takiko and the other Seishi. However he soon takes up the task of protecting Takiko. His close companion and guardian is Souren who grew up with him like a brother. Soruen's father protected him from his own who is out to kill Rimudo due to a phrophecy that forsees his doom. He is also a prince, and second in line to the thrown, overlooking that his father is trying to get him killed. Rimudo does not want to become a Seishi of Genbu and wants nothing to do with the whole story, but he is the first to meet and help Takiko, the Priestess of Genbu. He was born in Touran on January 28. His Star Pattern is Aquarius and his symbol is found on the center of his chest. As woman he is is able to control wind and use it to fight or even *fly*.
Hatsui

Hatsui (Zara Erutai) is from a small town called Tooru. when he was younger he was bullied constantly to pay off his dead parents debts and accidentally killed the people around him so he ran away to hide in the woods. He was found by Phen who used him for her own plans. She put him into a cellar and made him kill wanderers and others saying that they were here to kill him. He has hidden himself away from people for the past three years. He is very sensitive and scared of the world because of this. Even when he finds out about this from Takiko he still thinks kindly of Phen.Takiko makes him realize his destiny as Seishi and he follows her on their search to find the others. But he is still a cry baby. His star pattern is Pegasus and his symbol is found at the bottom of his right foot.
He can create a woven case of iron to protect himself, and shoots needles from his body. He is scared of fighting, but is eventually convinced to join the seishi. He much prefers protecting people with his basket.
Namame

Namame was born from a Seimei stone in the stone garden near Iferui. Namame is a rock that just wanted to fit in with other people. After atempting to take on a human appearance and being driven away, he was taken in by the Priestess Anru. In return he protected her (or she protected him... either way). But she was killed in a Kutou attack and gave him into the hands of Takiko. So far Takiko has not been able to reach into his heart and talk to him. His symbol is on the left side of his chest. His Star Pattern is Pegasus.
He has the ability to change his looks but not good enough to fool anybody.His power is over earth and stone. He can form them as he likes and use them in attacks.
