Genbu Kaiden Characters
Listed below are some of the Characters in the Genbu Kaiden! Though some of them appear repeatedly in each OVA, their descriptions will just appear once.
Okuda Einosuke
He is Takiko's father and Yoshie's husband. he is a pretty famous author, but his work is more important to him than his family, or so it seems. He finds the Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho and translates it from Chinese into Japanese. He ignores everything while working on this translation, even the death of his wife. He seems to be travelling a lot and he doesn't spend much time with his family. He has a good friend in Takao Osugi.
Okuda Yoshie
She is Einosuke's wife and Takiko's mother. She is very ill and wishes for her husband to return before her inevitable death. Her wish comes true but instead of being by her side when she dies, her husband is translating the Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho.
Oosugi Takao
He is a fan of Einosuke Okuda and a friend of the family. Nine years ago he married and has a five-year-old daughter called Suzuno now.Takiko is in love with him, but he does not return her feelings, not in that way anyway.He is a very sweet and gentle man. Always going out of his way to be of help to the Okuda family.

Soruen
He's Rimudo's friend and servant. When Rimudo was a baby Soruen's father rescued him from his own. Rimudo and Soruen grew up as brothers, but now Soruen acts more like a servant. His family has protected the Royal family for many generations. His father was killed by the Lord Roun for taking in Rimudo. Soruen continues to guard Rimudo as well as Takiko and the other Seishi. He moves quickly and helps them fight against Kutou.
Shigi & Hien
Hien and Shigi are both assassins working for Hakei, the son of the emperor of Kutou. Shigi is the brain of this combi. A general of the Kutou army along with Hien. The more serious of the two, he has a delicate and feminine appearance, and a pretty smile, but is a dangerous killer (at least he's still smiling while he's lacerating someone!). Scary enough to make Hien shut up. Hien is the emotional one. A general of the Kutou army along with Shigi. Temperamental and has anger management problems when it comes to Uruki but only finds out that Rimudo/Taki and Uruki are the same person long after Uruki slices off his arm. Their mission is to find and kill the priestess of Genbu and her Seishi.
Haagasu
Haagasu is a subordinate of Uruki's father. His mission is mainly to kill Rimudo, but also to get rid of the Priestess and her Seishi.First he works alone but then he joins with the Kutou army and their special taskforce led by Shigi. Obviously Rimudo's father doesn't even stop from working with the enemy to kill his son. Haagasu has the ability to steal the abilities of other Seishi once they have been used. Even though he is a "copy cat" his fighting abilities are so good that he is a very tough enemy.
Hakei
He is the crown prince of Kutou and behind the armies falling in in Hokkan. He personally recruited the people for the task force against the Priestess of Genbu and her Seishi.. Hired Rimudo into the Kutou army after seeing his skill as a fighter.Hakei is pretty sure of his abilities and he knows that his country will not fall in his attack on Hokkan. Why? Well, because the Seishi of Seiryuu have not appeared of course!
Taiitsukun
A mysterious child who helps point Takiko in the right direction. Knowledgeable and powerful, but young and cheerful. I do believe this is the Taiitsukun that Miaka knows... except younger...
Priestess Anru
A Priestess who resides in the rock garden outside Ifurei. She cared for Namame, when he was rejected by society. Namame cared for her very much and protected her. Anru was killed by Kutou after tricking them and also for telling Shigi that the Genbu no Miko would stop them.
Lord Roun
Emperor of Hokkan and father of Rimudo. Disowned Rimudo upon hearing a prophecy that his son would destroy the country. He has sent asassins after Rimudo, as well as placed a very high price on his head in hopes of eliminating the Seishi.
