The Tokyo Bay Music Fest is coming up, and Bad Luck, the band made up of Shuichi, Hiroshi, and Suguru, are scheduled to perform. Nittle Grasper is also on the bill. Nittle Grasper is a major label and a group that Shuichi idolizes.

Well, it seems that lately, Eiri has been giving poor Shuichi the cold shoulder, ignoring him completely! Well, Shuichi can't stand it, but Eiri won't even tell him why. Sakano makes an attempt to ask Eiri, pulling him away from a book signing. But before he could even ask Eiri, his boss shows up. Tohma politely excuses himself and Eiri and they both leave, with Sakano still having no answer. Meanwhile, Shuichi is in a horrible slump and can't seem to write any music. K has quite a way of encouraging people and so he and Sakano go visit a local TV producer, to get Bad Luck on the show, hoping that performing before an audience will bring Shuichi out of his slump. It works quite well, and just when all looks good ... Tohma makes an appearance on the show, announcing Nittle Graspers performance at the Fest, and that their lyrics will be written with the help of Eiri Yuki. Poor Shuichi! This hits him hard... he always wanted to have Eiri write a song for HIM to sing... and he's writing for ... Tohma Seguchi instead!? Well, as you can imagine, back into the slump goes Shuichi.

Shuichi disappears for quite awhile, locking himself in his room and watching every Nittle Grasper concert recording he owns, until Ryuichi comes by to talk to him. After a bit of a pep-talk of sorts, Shuichi heads back to the studio and is determined to give it another try. Now, Eiri had a ticket to the Fest, which Shuichi gave him. At the Fest, Shuichi waits, and saves a seat for Eiri, but instead of Eiri ... his brother, Tatsuha shows up. After a little scuffle between the two of them, Shuichi is nearly in tears again at Eiri having not bothered to come. Nittle Grasper takes the stage and does their song, after which Ryuichi calls Shuichi on stage and lets him sing the last two verses. This gets Shuichi pumped! Hiroshi and Suguru are in the audience and they don't miss the chance to take the stage too. Nittle Grasper steps aside and lets Bad Luck do a song, and it's a nice ballad. We discover that Eiri is in the crowd and watching the whole show, Tohma is also there, along with the members of Nittle Grasper. Sakano is still panicking over Bad Luck taking the stage unscheduled. All goes well and Eiri and Shuichi finally go back to being their usual, loving selves ... and we close the OVA with Shuichi wrapped in a blanket, curled up in Eiri's arms.
